Make 2019 your best year!

Today is an opportune time to think about your aspirations for the year - 2019 can be the year to live your best life, every day.

Think about your priorities, what would you like to do more or less of? Be inspired, put pen to paper, set some goals and work at them. The best part...each day presents another opportunity to work towards your healthiest self! Here are a few simple ideas that might be helpful when thinking about how to make the most of 2019.

 

  • Embrace a morning routine. Make time for what's important in the first 90 minutes of your day.
     
  • Prioritise to increase focus & productivity. What's most important to you? If you only worked on three things in 2019 what would they be, what would make the most positive impact on your life? Say no to the rest, resist distractions.
     
  • Share your goals with those close to you as a way to stay motivated and on track.
     
  • Get enough sleep as sleep is one of the foundations of health and wellness.
     
  • Enjoy the little things while working towards your goals. The little moments that brighten your day matter. Make time for them, have fun and live in the moment.
     
  • Chat with your Doctor if you're ever concerned about your health. Seeking early advice is always a good option.

Goals should be clear, detailed and meaningful to you. What do you want to achieve, why, who is involved and when will it happen, what's the timeframe? Measure progress and recognise when you've achieved something great. Don't be afraid to challenge yourself, break your big dream down into smaller goals.
